Inspired by my childhood where I was brought up all over the world. These travel inspired works reference vintage stamp design and the symbolism of place. These pieces explore memory, belonging and the layered histories carried between countries — fragments of journey preserved in paint.
Rodeo
I was lucky enough to have lived in Texas as a kid. As a family we went to the Rodeo. Raw, chaotic and charged with motion - that sort of thing stays with you as a child. The rodeo paintings draw on themes of resilience, heritage and physical endurance, portraying figures caught in decisive, high-impact moments.
