A doorway is something you go through to take you somewhere else. It might be a real place, a memory, or somewhere that only exists in your imagination.

These paintings bring together old buildings, faded walls, colourful doorways and a few unexpected visitors. The animals appear almost as characters in the scenes — sometimes watching, sometimes wandering through, and sometimes looking as though they’ve simply stopped for the afternoon.
